Our First Christmas Party
Two Parties - One exciting Day
What a fantastic day! An Early start for the team transforming the function room in the Victoria Pub Norton into Santa's Grotto for a special visit from the main man himself, all the way from the North Pole. Once the balloons had been blown up and Christmas trees decorated it was time for our team of elves to start the party games with our younger players. Pass the Parcel, Musical statues and a variety of other party games, kept the group entertained until it was time to visit Santa in his Grotto and tell him what they were hoping he would have on his sleigh for them on Christmas Eve. A present and a photograph with Santa later and it was back to more party games.
Our mobile club shop set up in the room for those last minute branded presents and special Christmas Eve kits, ready for the big night, with a magical key, magic dust, reindeer food and a cookie for Santa.
Once our younger players had left for the day clutching their presents from Santa it was a quick room transformation ready for our next visitor all the way from Whoville to see our older players... and the Grinch certainly made an entrance! After bursting some of our festive Balloon Arch he leaped through the grotto wall and fell 2ft off the stage, but as you'd expect, the Grinch styled it out and stood up with a loud shout of "loath... hate". Grabbing a Christmas tree he ran from the room, pursued by all the children and had to be rescued by Santa's elves.
The elves got to work supervising some energetic games of under and over, musical chairs and statues and a loud round of Christmas Bingo, followed by more fun with the Grinch, who ever the show off, was 'happy' to pose for photographs with our players. Two hours of fun and games later and everyone left clutching their selection box and big smiles.
It was fabulous to see so many of our players and their siblings join us to celebrate the festive season and the hard work by Santa's Elves was rewarded by so many players and parents saying how much fun they'd had.
Santa and the Grinch came to town for a special visit with our players
A visit from Santa didn't disappoint our younger players, having made the long journey from the North Pole he stayed with us for the whole two hours of the party directing the party games, as he left to beat the traffic back to the North Pole, he handed over to the Grinch who arrived from Whoville to cause chaos with our older players, stealing Santa's sack and throwing presents into the crowd.
